Landscapes of the Aire

Rising amid the ancient limestone landscape of the Yorkshire Dales, the River Aire began to flow through the Yorkshire landscape millions of years ago. However, a journey along the river today tells a story of man's transformation of the landscape, through the development of agriculture and industry.
